As an experienced Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting LabVIEW-based solutions for a diverse range of projects. Your role will involve not only technical tasks but also interacting with customers to understand their needs and translating them into technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize LabVIEW applications for data acquisition systems, utilizing USB, PCI DAQ, RS-485, RS-232, TCP-IP, and other communication protocols.
Integrate LabVIEW applications with instrumentation and control systems, ensuring seamless hardware-software interaction.
Implement image processing algorithms and techniques within LabVIEW applications to analyze and manipulate visual data.
Design and maintain SQL databases to store and retrieve data collected through LabVIEW applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
Interact with customers to understand their requirements, preferences, and constraints, and effectively communicate technical solutions and recommendations.
Translate customer needs into clear and actionable technical requirements, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and project deliverables.
Provide technical support to customers during the implementation and deployment phases, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, and addressing feedback and requests.
Stay updated on the latest developments in LabVIEW, image processing algorithms, database technologies, and customer interaction best practices to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the success of the team.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in LabVIEW programming, with expertise in data acquisition, instrument communication, image processing, SQL database integration, and customer interaction.Proficiency in developing LabVIEW applications for USB, PCI DAQ, RS-485, RS-232, TCP-IP, and other communication interfaces.
Strong understanding of image processing algorithms and techniques, with hands-on experience in implementing them using LabVIEW.
Solid knowledge of SQL databases, including database design, querying, and data manipulation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, understand their needs, and convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with other programming languages and software tools is a plus.
